Conclusion: if the player is good, it's gonna sound awesome regardless of the bass

You can tell he enjoyed the all black Vintage the most :D I much prefered the vintage too for both pickups! I liked both for bridge only :)

I keep the original vintage plate but put 100% brass Guyker saddles & intonation screws (metric, Fender being Imperial)...same as Fenders modern saddles with 3 string gooves, the bottom of the barell is flat....great sounding & for some weird reason they sit lower than the original saddles...lower action...i could never get low action with the vintage original bridge...also no grub screws stabbing my hand now as they sit perfect after changing the 2 outer saddles grub screws, E & G, for shorter grub screws of an old Trevor Wilkinson vintage bridge, they are all just sub-flush...only took me 45 years to discover...lol...i like the tone of the Bad Ass ll with brass inserts....most of my bass's have brass nuts, works for me...good demo....

I have an American Fender P 5 string & a Sire P7 5 string… I prefer the Sire by a long shot!

for a bass effects worth less than $100, it's definitely good...I mean the pedals are great sounding as ever, but I'm no Pro...so the Zoom B1 will suffice!

I have exactly the same bass made in germany and it is by far one of the best instruments I have. The playability, the sound, the solid tuning that stays for years, the weight, I just love it sooo much. I encourage everyone to buy one and try to get the all german made one like this one, if possible. I bought mine from andybabiuksfabgear, great guys over there. Thanks for sharing!
